Merry Early Christmas with the Family

Neil, Courtney and Doug all came to Spokane to enjoy an early Christmas. We had a wonderful 4 days. We went shopping at the mall, bowling, went to a Christmas party and spent a lot of time talking, sharing stories and having fun. My mom really enjoyed having her kids all together. Paige and Brynn loved all the extra attention. They are beginning to think that December is just about the presents. With Don's birthday and then Brynn's birthday, Christmas packages from Grandmas & Grandpas and Aunts & Uncles arriving daily, it is almost unbearable to look at the presents piling up under the tree.
We were even blessed with snow on Friday, then freezing cold temperatures and highs of 9 degrees and negative numbers overnight and wind chill factors adding to the already low temperatures. Neil took his picture in front of a bank with the temperature of 4 degrees. That is the coldest he has ever been in.
The only thing we didn't get to do is go sledding but the temperatures were just too cold to do so.
We also celebrated Courtney's birthday, which is Christmas, with petit fours. Next year I am going to learn to do them myself because the bakeries in Spokane just can't do it correctly. She was surprised.
